The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Licks tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mcgarry sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Licks somewhat.
Licks forces Mcgarry back against the cage and clinches.
Licks has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mcgarry after a bit of a struggle.
Licks tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mcgarry escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Licks gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Mcgarry is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Licks defends well.

Licks wants to control from the top but Mcgarry keeps moving.
Licks might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mcgarry kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Mcgarry is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Licks throws a series of punches but Mcgarry avoids them all with ease.

Licks fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mcgarry manages to avoid it.
Nicholas J Mcgarry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mcgarry shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Licks pinned against the cage. Licks gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mcgarry shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Licks as he avoids it easily.

Licks closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mcgarry circles away.

Mcgarry is working to tighten is grip on Licks's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Licks has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Mcgarry is really squeezing tight and eventually Licks passes out! Mcgarry breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
