Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cabbage Patched (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donzel Fortunado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fortunado has chosen Bob Dylan-Knockin' on Heaven's Door as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fortunado misses the jab.
Patched misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Fortunado avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Patched fails with the takedown.
Patched avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Fortunado closes the distance but Patched moves to the side
and Patched counters with a good low kick that Fortunado was not able to check.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Patched.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cabbage Patched. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fortunado scoring well with a low kick there.
Patched shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fortunado sprawls well. Fortunado wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Patched gets slowly back to his feet.
Fortunado misses with a low kick.
Fortunado connects with a body shot that sends Patched's belly button to the back.

Fortunado looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Fortunado connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Patched closes the distance and clinches up with Fortunado, looking for a takedown. Patched pushes Fortunado against the cage but Fortunado circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Patched is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looks like Cabbage Patched has been cut.
Patched takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
A head kick from Fortunado lands but Patched takes it in his stride.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Patched avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Patched circles away from the clinch attempt.
Patched tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fortunado swivels and escapes.
Patched shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Fortunado counters with a low kick, right behind Patched 's knee.
Patched is breathing heavily.
Fortunado scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Cabbage Patched's cut is getting worse.
Patched avoids the head kick by Fortunado.
Fortunado lands a nice shot to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Patched on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Fortunado. Fortunado obviously looking to wear him down.
Fortunado darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Fortunado cracks Patched with an open hand slap.

Cabbage Patched's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Fortunado lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Fortunado feints and then cracks Patched's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Patched down.
Fortunado tries to clinch up but Patched circles away and keeps his distance.

Fortunado drops Patched with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Patched looks back up at him and smiles so Fortunado waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Fortunado clinches up with Patched and pushes him back against the cage.
Fortunado utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Fortunado has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Patched - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Fortunado, and another! Patched is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Donzel Fortunado!
In his post fight interview, Donzel Fortunado started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
