Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ground Pound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marion Cobretti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). 19 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marion Cobretti! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cobretti swings away with a leg kick that misses. Pound is looking to slow Cobretti down with leg kicks. Cobretti will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Pound scores with a body shot.
Pound moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Cobretti has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Pound. Cobretti just misses with a punch to the body.
Marion Cobretti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cobretti takes one to the chin there. This has been an exciting period of action! Pound fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Cobretti looks winded! Cobretti walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Pound buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Cobretti throws a wild body kick that Pound sees coming a mile off. Pound dodges the punch combination from Cobretti.
That kick from Pound tenderised Cobretti's leg. Cobretti is trying to keep his angry face on. Pound moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Pound lands with a right to the head. Stalling in the clinch from Pound.
Pound digs a right hand underneath Cobretti's ribcage. Cobretti let out a lung full of air as it connected. Pound working some nice short punches in the clinch. Cobretti's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! An uppercut to the body lands inside from Pound. Pound lands with a light punch inside. Pound gets through Cobretti's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Pound prevents Cobretti from breaking the clinch. Cobretti tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Pound just stands there and leans against the cage. Stalling in the clinch from Pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pound connects with a nasty looking knee right to Cobretti's face.
Pound lands with a left to the head. Pound is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. A knee to the head by Pound.
Pound throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Pound utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Pound throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Cobrettis head. Pound throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Cobretti blocks it with crossed arms. Pound misses with a knee strike.
Pound lands a body punch. Pound has Cobretti pressed against the cage.
Pound lands a hook that snaps the head of Cobretti backwards. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cobretti wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Pound working some nice short punches in the clinch. Cobretti is trying to break the clinch but Pound has him pressed against the cage. Pound is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Pound obliges. Pound landing knees to the body.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pound lands an uppercut. A shot in the inside from Pound. A short right hand to the side of the head by Pound. Pound scores with a hook to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ground Pound dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Cobretti walks into a left hand. Cobretti misses with a body punch
and Pound counters with a low kick, right behind Cobretti 's knee. Cobretti throws a hook to the side of Pound's head but Pound sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Pound is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cobretti can do to turn this around? A combination from Cobretti does no damage. Cobretti shoots for a double leg takedown but Pound sprawls well. He's pushed Cobretti's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Ground Pound is winning the standup battle so far. Pound lands a jab to Cobretti's midsection. Pound clinches. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pound lands a good knee to the midsection. Cobretti won't want to take too many of those. Pound taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Cobretti wants to break free but Pound has control.
Pound lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Pound lands with a short shot to the head. Cobretti pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Cobretti walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Cobretti is rocked! The fight moves into the clinch position. Cobretti is still on wobbly legs! Can Pound finish him? Pound will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Cobretti up against the cage. Cobretti is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pound lands a knee to the head.
Pound lands a right hand that snaps the head of Cobretti backwards. Pound lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Cobretti is trying to break the clinch but Pound is controlling him. Pound dips a shoulder and cracks Cobretti with a mighty uppercut! Cobretti falls back against the cage and Pound unloads with a barrage of strikes! Cobretti is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Pound screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ground Pound! A relieved looking Ground Pound thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
