Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dwight Elkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Smyth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elkins's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Care Bear Countdown. Smyth is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Painkiller - Pendulum feat. Freestylers. Dwight Elkins has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
28 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dwight Elkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kris Smyth! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smyth has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Elkins. Elkins misses with a low kick. Elkins misses with a looping right. Elkins tries to score with a low kick but Smyth moves his leg out of the way. Smyth defending well as Elkins loads up on a big left hand. Smyth looks to score with a jab to the body but Elkins is just out of range. Smyth throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Elkins throws a jab when Smyth was well out of range. Elkins throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Elkins walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Smyth checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Elkins swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Smyth counters with a good, hard body kick but Elkins shrugs it off. Smyth throws a head kick that misses. Elkins shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Smyth is trying to defend but Elkins finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Elkins wants to pass to mount but Smyth is defending the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smyth is trying to get back to full guard. Elkins thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Smyth is positioning himself well to prevent Elkins advancing to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kris Smyth wasn't active enough on the ground. Smyth wants to clinch. Elkins throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dwight Elkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Elkins punishes Smyth's body with a nice straight punch. A big left from Elkins misses. Elkins will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Elkins shoots in looking for a takedown but Smyth manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Elkins's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Smyth checks a low kick from Elkins. Smyth gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Elkins. Elkins throws a body kick that misses and Smyth cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! An inside leg kick lands from Elkins. Smyth digs a good hook to Elkins's body.
Elkins throws a nice outside leg kick. Smyth moves out of range as Elkins strikes. Elkins swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smyth keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Elkins fails with the takedown. Smyth scores with a push kick. Elkins is breathing heavily. Smyth lands with a shot to the body. Elkins buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Smyth cracks the inside of Elkins's front leg. A head kick misses from Smyth. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Smyth throws a shot to the body.
Elkins fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dwight Elkins. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smyth tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Elkins blocks a head kick by Smyth.
That's four minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Elkins, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Elkins fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Smyth is out of range. Smyth fails with an attempt to clinch.
Smyth cracks the inside of Elkins's front leg. Smyth works Elkins's body with a nice hook. Elkins throws a lazy body kick and Smyth connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Elkins throws a nice inside leg kick. Smyth throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. That kick from Smyth tenderised Elkins's leg. Elkins is trying to keep his angry face on. Smyth dodges the punch combination from Elkins.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Elkins pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Smyth dips to his left and cracks Elkins with an uppercut! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kris Smyth dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Elkins tries for a takedown but Smyth circles away easily and Smyth counters with a nice uppercut. Elkins throws a lazy uppercut
and Smyth counters with a nice uppercut. Elkins tries a low kick but Smyth avoids it. Elkins is trying hard to land a takedown here. Smyth sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A solid leg kick lands there for Smyth.

Smyth pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Elkins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Smyth clinches up with Elkins and pushes him back against the cage. Smyth displaying some good clinch control by pressing Elkins up against the cage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Smyth misses with a punch to the body.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Smyth obliges. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elkins tries to break free but Smyth pushes him back against the cage. Smyth tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Elkins's elbow. Elkins prevents a body shot from Smyth. Smyth is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Elkins is defending well for now. Smyth goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Smyth stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Smyth lands a right hand. A short uppercut from Smyth. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Smyth. Smyth putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Elkins in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. A right hook to the body lands for Smyth.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Smyth lands an uppercut. Elkins pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Elkins wants to get back to striking at distance but Smyth won't allow it.
Elkins tries to circle away but Smyth has him pinned against the cage. Smyth lands a right hand that snaps the head of Elkins backwards. Elkins trying to stall but Smyth improves his position.
Elkins takes a shot to the head. Both guys are working to get underhooks. A short body shot lands from Smyth as the two fighters clinch.
A short right from Smyth on the inside. Smyth lands a good knee to the midsection. Elkins won't want to take too many of those. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Smyth just misses with a elbow thrown towards Elkins's brow. Smyth is leaning against Elkins and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Smyth landing some nice looking knees to the body.

It looks like Dwight Elkins has been cut. Smyth lands a knee to the body.
Elkins is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Smyth's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Smyth lands with a short shot to the head. Smyth with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Elkins takes a shot to the head. Oh Elkins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! A short right from Smyth. Smyth lands a left hand.
Smyth lands a nice knee to the body. Smyth creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Elkins's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Elkins drops to his knees and Smyth pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kris Smyth! After winning the bout, Kris Smyth thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
