The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia needs to keep his hands up - Parcaut had a free shot at his head there.

Parcaut throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Maia tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Parcaut is in Maia's guard.

Maia has momentary wrist control but Parcaut slips an elbow through the middle.

Parcaut really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Maia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Parcaut lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Maia quite badly. Maia pulls Parcaut in close trying to recover. Parcaut postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Maia on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Maia doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ralph Parcaut!
