Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Soon Do (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Possu Jokinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Soon Do! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Possu Jokinen! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jokinen jabbing away but nothing is landing. Do throws a lazy right hand but Jokinen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Do keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jokinen takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Jokinen misses with a looping right. Jokinen with a nice cross. Do moves out of range of the leg kick from Jokinen. Do lands a head shot. Jokinen throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Do avoids the body shot from Jokinen.
Jokinen lands with a cross. Jokinen looks for a takedown but Do sprawls well. Jokinen connects with a jab. Jokinen swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jokinen pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Do connects with a right hand. Jokinen shakes it off. Jokinen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Do jabs at Jokinen's body. Jokinen throws a jab when Do was well out of range. Jokinen swinging wildly here.
Jokinen walks into a left hand. Do throws out a powerful jab. Good shot there by Do. Do drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Jokinen throws a hook to the side of Do's head but Do sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Do fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jokinen manages to avoid it. Possu Jokinen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Do slips a jab from Jokinen. Do is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A punch lands to the side of Do 's head but he takes it in his stride. Do moves away from the strike by Jokinen. Jokinen lands with a right hand. Jokinen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jab by Jokinen. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A slow jab from Jokinen misses its intended target. A cross from Do lands. Jokinen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Do circles away quickly and effectively. Jokinen waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Do. Do is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Jokinen lands with an overhand left. Jokinen needs to keep his hands up - Do had a free shot at his head there. Do scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Do fails with a takedown attempt. Jokinen misses with a body shot.
Jokinen misses with a double jab.
Do buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big left from Jokinen misses. Do misses with a straight right. The fighters circling - Jokinen throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Do is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Do just misses with a punch to the body.
Jokinen ducks under a wild hook from Do. Jokinen scores with a jab to the jaw. Jokinen misses with a series of wild punches.
Do drops his hands momentarily and Jokinen takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Do connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Jokinen just misses with a punch to the body.
Jokinen throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jokinen tests Do's chin there with a solid looking shot. Jokinen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Jokinen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Do waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jokinen.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jokinen lands with a nice combination. Do backs away looking to recover. Jokinen works Do's body with a nice hook. Jokinen shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Do eats them both and turns towards Jokinen to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Do lands with a nice combination. Jokinen backs away looking to recover. Jokinen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Do manages to avoid it. Jokinen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Do as he jumps to the side. Soon Do has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Possu Jokinen. Jokinen walks into a left hand. Do looking to score a takedown here. Jokinen is defending well but Do drives through and ends up in Jokinen's guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Jokinen working a defensive guard here.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Do working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Possu Jokinen will probably get the nod. That's time! Do's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Jokinen shoots in looking for a takedown but Do manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jokinen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Do swings for the body but Jokinen moves out of range.
Do gets the takedown into side control. Jokinen is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Do has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jokinen tries to roll over but Do keeps him under control. Jokinen has hold of Do's hands but Do slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Do misses with a head shot. Jokinen uses the momentum to regain guard. Do trying to control the position from guard on top but Jokinen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Do is looking to work some ground and pound but Jokinen has wrist control. Jokinen working a defensive guard here.
Do trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Jokinen manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jokinen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Do wants to sweep but no luck. Do keeping moving, preventing Jokinen from controlling successfully. Do looking for a sweep. Not yet Do, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jokinen wants to control from the top but Do keeps moving. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Possu Jokinen wasn't active enough on the ground. Do misses with a few strikes there.
Do is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jokinen. Jokinen looks to score with a jab to the body but Do is just out of range. Jokinen throws a jab but it's blocked by Do. Do loads up on a big right hand but Jokinen slips the punch. Do throws a jab but it's blocked by Jokinen. Jokinen cracks Do with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Jokinen misses the shot to the body. Jokinen takes a swing at Do's ribcage but misses. Do shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Jokinen is concentrating on defense, preventing Do from advancing position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jokinen is trying to get back to full guard. Do throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Jokinen to regain full guard. Do throwing strikes from guard but Jokinen blocks nicely. Soon Do overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jokinen wants to sweep here but Do controlling him for the moment. Jokinen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Jokinen is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Do postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Do works over Jokinen with some ground and pound from guard. Do lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Jokinen keeping moving, preventing Do from controlling successfully. Do with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Do showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Jokinen seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Do scoring with punches to the head and body. Do loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Do throws a strike but Jokinen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jokinen trying to control but Do is working from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Soon Do dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Do throws an overhand right that lands on Jokinen's shoulder, as Jokinen tries to avoid the shot. Do getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Jokinen swings away with a leg kick that misses. Jokinen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Do. Jokinen lands a right hook to the body.
Do keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jokinen misses the shot to the body. Jokinen dives in and grabs Do's left leg, looking for a takedown. Do pushes down on Jokinen's head and hops out. Jokinen pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Possu Jokinen seems to be getting the better of the standup. Jokinen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Do sees it coming and avoids it easily. A combination from Jokinen does no damage. Jokinen misses with a body punch
and Do counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Do trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Do postures up in Jokinen's guard and throws a big left but Jokinen blocks it. Do is looking to work some ground and pound but Jokinen has wrist control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Do postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jokinen wants to sweep but no luck. Do throwing strikes but missing. Do cracks Jokinen with a solid left hand. Do working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Do landing some decent shots from guard. Do trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Do in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Do accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jokinen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Do defends well. Jokinen keeping full guard, as Do tries to pass. Jokinen working a defensive guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Do throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jokinen works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Do throws an elbow that misses. Jokinen uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Do's guard. Nice move by Jokinen! Jokinen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Do swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jokinen sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Do's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Jokinen trying to control from half guard but Do is working away. Jokinen tries to pass the half guard into mount. Do knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Do is refusing to be controlled, as Jokinen sits in half guard. Jokinen stalling away here and it's allowed Do to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jokinen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jokinen wants to control from the top but Do keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jokinen slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Possu Jokinen has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. A slow jab from Do misses its intended target. Do's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jokinen connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Do scrambles back to his feet. Do scores with a slapping inside leg kick. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Do attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Do tries a low kick but Jokinen avoids it. Do on the wrong end of a nice jab. Jokinen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Soon Do. I think Do has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Soon Do! Soon Do was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
