Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mookie Hamfist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Salath Sar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mookie Hamfist!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Salath Sar!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamfist gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Hamfist ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Sar misses with a left hand

and Hamfist counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sar's guard now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Sar is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hamfist chips away with some ground and pound.
Hamfist trying to control the position from guard on top but Sar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sar is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hamfist defends well.

Sar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hamfist accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Sar is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hamfist scores with a couple of nice shots.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Hamfist is nestled in close to Sar, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Sar is refusing to be controlled, as Hamfist sits in half guard.
Hamfist passes to side control.
Sar tries to buck Hamfist off but Hamfist is having none of it.
Hamfist is working Sar over with some ground and pound from side control.

Sar manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hamfist's best efforts.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Hamfist is working for a kimura but Sar is defending it quite comfortably.
Sar wants to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mookie Hamfist dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


No joy there for Hamfist, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Sar closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hamfist is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Sar is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Hamfist utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hamfist has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sar stands and throws Hamfist's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Sar tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sar has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Hamfist struggling a bit here.
Hamfist is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Sar in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Mookie Hamfist is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A telegraphed right hand from Sar misses the target.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hamfist enables Sar to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hamfist manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Hamfist had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sar defends it easily.
Sar wants to pass the guard but Hamfist is keeping the position.

Sar drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Sar as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Hamfist screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Sar! Nice submission victory there!
