Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny OReilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Red (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johnny OReilly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Mr Red!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Red misses.
OReilly throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Red tries to clinch up.
OReilly swats away the attempt to clinch by Red.
Red fakes high and swings low for a body shot but OReilly manages to avoid it.
OReilly misses with a combination
and Red counters with a nice uppercut.
Johnny OReilly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Red connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Red showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from OReilly.
Red avoids a punch combination nicely.

OReilly gets tackled into the cage by Red. Red maintains the clinch.
Red misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Red makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Red is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. OReilly can't fight it off and eventually Red manages to take the fight to the floor. OReilly looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

OReilly will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Red accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

OReilly breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Red drives through with a takedown into OReilly's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Red had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. OReilly defends it easily.

OReilly has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Red is proving hard to escape from.

Red working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. OReilly doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. OReilly manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Red is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Red has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Red bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in OReilly's guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Red uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from OReilly.
OReilly misses with a two punch combination.
OReilly changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Red closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Red prevents OReilly from escaping the position.

Red is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but OReilly is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Red wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by OReilly, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OReilly takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Red is looking to take a break and control but OReilly is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Red connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused OReilly some visible discomfort.

Red throwing strikes but OReilly manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Red manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Still in half guard, Red seems content to control.
OReilly pushes Red off looking to stand but Red dives back in and keeps control.
Red is just content to waste time from the top position. OReilly takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Red postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Oh OReilly is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
OReilly can't keep his opponent in guard - Red advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Red uses his free foot to push down on OReilly's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for OReilly.
Red has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Red lands a heavy shot. That's hurt OReilly! Red sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless OReilly and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Mr Red!
