Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Do! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Mr White! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Do punishes White's body with a nice straight punch. White tries to work over Do's front leg with a kick but Do checks it. Do closes the distance and clinches. Do jumps guard but White stands there with Do around his waist. Do gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
White is defending well against a takedown attempt. White fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Do is looking to take this one to the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Do. That's going to take a lot out of him. Do's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. White dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Do. That did some damage! White throws the left hand but Do avoids the punch easily. White gets caught flat footed, as Do shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. White looking for a sweep. Not yet White, not yet. Do postures up.
White has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Do can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Do avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Do trying to control the position from guard on top but White is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. White is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Do trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. White is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Do is aware though and is defending well. Do wants to pass the guard but White is keeping the position. White isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Do stacks White on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Do! White is looking to regain half guard here but Do keeps moving and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Do trying to control the position but White is working away. White stops Do from passing to mount. White wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Do has ideas of his own. He's got hold of White's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! White is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Do!
