Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tim Jacobs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Demetrious Johnson Jr!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Johnson Jr is defended easily by Jacobs.

Jacobs dives in and scores a takedown into Johnson Jr's guard.

Johnson Jr working for a triangle but Jacobs defends it easily.
Jacobs controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Jacobs won't allow Johnson Jr to sweep him here.

Jacobs throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Johnson Jr was covering up waiting for the punch and Jacobs finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Jacobs closes the distance and clinches up with Johnson Jr, looking for a takedown. Jacobs pushes Johnson Jr against the cage but Johnson Jr circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jacobs shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnson Jr pinned against the cage. Johnson Jr gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Johnson Jr tries to close the distance and clinch but Jacobs swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jacobs changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnson Jr tries to avoid it but Jacobs manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnson Jr to the ground. Johnson Jr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
