The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jimenez gets a takedown into half guard.

Gonzales is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Jimenez pulls his head out easily.
Gonzales has hold of Jimenez's hands but Jimenez slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Gonzales is trying to get back to full guard.
Gonzales is staying active underneath Jimenez, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Gonzales missing with punches from the bottom.
Jimenez tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Gonzales.
Jimenez wants to control but Gonzales is keeping him busy.
Gonzales is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Gonzales moves out of range of the strikes.
Gonzales comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Gonzales throws a hook but Jimenez blocks it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jimenez on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Gonzales lands a hook that stumbles Jimenez back into the cage. Gonzales follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Jimenez to the canvas! Gonzales pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Jimenez has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
