Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Baraka Simengwa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simengwa comes to the cage accompanied by Afande Sele feat Ditto - Darubini kali. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simengwa throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lewis tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Simengwa is in Lewis's guard.
Simengwa is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lewis is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lewis has escaped and now he's on top!
Lewis trying to control the position from guard on top but Simengwa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lewis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Lewis is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Simengwa has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Lewis is looking to defend but Simengwa has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Lewis! Simengwa pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Lewis taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Baraka Simengwa!
