Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jax Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roberto Colon looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jax Sullivan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roberto Colon! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Franklyn Lucas and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Colon takes one to the side of the head.
Sullivan tries to bum rush Colon with a series of wild strikes but Colon uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sullivan misses with a double jab
and Colon counters with a straight right hand. Colon ducks under a wild hook from Sullivan. Sullivan misses the shot to the body. Sullivan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Colon circles away quickly and effectively. Sullivan misses the body punch and Colon counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Sullivan rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Colon counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Colon blocks a jab. Colon uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sullivan. Sullivan scores with the left hand. Colon knows he should have avoided that one. Sullivan misses with a left hand and Colon counters with an inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sullivan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Colon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Sullivan moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Sullivan throws a quick inside leg kick. Colon moves out of range as Sullivan strikes. Sullivan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sullivan misses with a lunging right hand
and Colon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A shot to the liver by Sullivan. Beautiful body shot. Sullivan throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Sullivan scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Sullivan falls off balance throwing a combination
and Colon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sullivan misses with an uppercut
and Colon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Colon walks into a jab. This has been an exciting period of action! Sullivan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Colon counters with a nice uppercut. Sullivan misses with a series of wild punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sullivan misses with a lunging right hand
and Colon counters with a nice double leg into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Colon looking to pass the guard. Sullivan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Sullivan is breathing heavily. Colon drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sullivan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Colon has Sullivan in his guard. Sullivan lands a couple of elbows. Sullivan throws a strike but Colon rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Colon thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Sullivan has his hands on Colon's head, controlling the position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sullivan controls Colon momentarily but Colon frees himself. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Colon drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sullivan dives on top into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jax Sullivan dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Colon slips under a jab from Sullivan. Sullivan throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Colon counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Sullivan! Colon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Colon is trying to get an arm triangle but Sullivan is defending well. Colon is breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sullivan can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Colon is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sullivan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Colon is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sullivan has escaped the position, nice work there. Colon tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Colon has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Colon tries for an arm triangle. That's four minutes gone in the round. Sullivan is looking for a sweep. Colon is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sullivan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sullivan gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roberto Colon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Sullivan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Sullivan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Sullivan lands a head shot. Colon slips a jab and a cross from Sullivan.
Colon avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Sullivan looks to land a left hand but Colon moved out of range nicely. Sullivan slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Sullivan swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Colon drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sullivan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sullivan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sullivan! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sullivan misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Sullivan with the ground and pound but Colon regains half guard under the barage of strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Colon looking for submissions off his back. That's three minutes gone in the round. Sullivan tries to stand but Colon is controlling from the bottom. Colon throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Sullivan postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Sullivan throwing strikes from guard but Colon blocks nicely. Sullivan postures up in Colon's guard and throws a big left but Colon blocks it. Colon is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sullivan has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Sullivan wants to get up but he can't break Colon's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sullivan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jax Sullivan. I think Sullivan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
