Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Grayson Carlyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakob Kellerman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kellerman has chosen When Darkness Falls as his entrance music. Jakob Kellerman will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Grayson Carlyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jakob Kellerman!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carlyle darts in and clinches Kellerman up against the cage.
Carlyle wants a takedown.
Carlyle prevents Kellerman from breaking the clinch.

Carlyle gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Kellerman is not content to let Carlyle control the position.
Kellerman is looking for a sweep. Carlyle is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kellerman won't allow Carlyle to pass to mount.

Kellerman wants to stand up but Carlyle is controlling him.

Carlyle manages to reverse the position and now he's in Kellerman's guard. Nice work there by Carlyle.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kellerman is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Carlyle is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jakob Kellerman.

Kellerman gets caught napping as Carlyle dives in and scores a takedown. Kellerman manages to retain guard.
Carlyle stays in close to Kellerman's body and controls the position.
Kellerman wants to get back to his feet but Carlyle is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Kellerman throws a nice looking combination but Carlyle bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Carlyle goes for an armbar but Kellerman turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Kellerman.

Kellerman controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Grayson Carlyle will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Kellerman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Carlyle darts in and clinches Kellerman up against the cage.
Carlyle drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kellerman gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Kellerman can't break the clinch.
Kellerman is pressed up against the cage. Carlyle has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kellerman down to the mat. Kellerman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Kellerman throws a sloppy head kick and Carlyle moves out of range easily.

Kellerman wants to land a leg kick but Carlyle is out of range.
Carlyle has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Carlyle there as he acknowledges the shot.

Carlyle shoots in but Kellerman avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Grayson Carlyle. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Carlyle gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Kellerman tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Carlyle wants to take the fight to the mat but Kellerman manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Carlyle blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Kellerman prevents the takedown attempt.
Nice body punch from Kellerman - that landed with a thud.
Kellerman tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Carlyle has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kellerman is trying to keep an underhook but Carlyle manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kellerman holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kellerman manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Some bone on bone action there as Carlyle checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Horrible takedown by Carlyle or perhaps it was just good defense by Kellerman which made him look bad.
Kellerman tries to score with a low kick but Carlyle moves his leg out of the way.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kellerman darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Kellerman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kellerman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kellerman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Carlyle is working away from the top position though.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Carlyle is trying to control the action in half guard but Kellerman is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Kellerman wants to control but Carlyle is keeping busy and won't allow it.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jakob Kellerman hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

I would just about give that final round to Jakob Kellerman.
I think Kellerman has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
