Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gab Bloodsport! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Max Pein! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pein fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bloodsport manages to avoid it. Pein cracks Bloodsport with a good jab. A combination from Pein does no damage. A lazy left from Pein finds it's target. Pein keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. A jab from Pein misses. Pein throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bloodsport sees it coming and avoids it easily. Pein scores with a jab to the jaw. Bloodsport moves forwards but Pein connects with a nice, crisp jab. Max Pein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pein connects with a jab. A lazy left from Pein finds it's target. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A looping hook to the body misses from Pein. Bloodsport does a little dance to reset his feet. Pein looks to throw the jab but Bloodsport is out of range. Pein rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bloodsport moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Pein looks to land a left hand but Bloodsport moved out of range nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pein ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Pein throws a right and a left that Bloodsport avoids nicely. Pein tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bloodsport was well out of range. Poor timing from Pein. Bloodsport slips under a jab from Pein. Bloodsport shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pein but Pein pushes him off and we're back to square one. Pein misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pein ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bloodsport moves away. Pein throws a body punch but Bloodsport moves out of range. Bloodsport shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pein as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gab Bloodsport. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pein clobbers Bloodsport with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Bloodsport on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pein dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Bloodsport walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. This has been an exciting period of action! Pein digs a good hook to Bloodsport's body.
Bloodsport doesn't succeed with the takedown and Pein counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Pein lands a nice shot that snaps Bloodsport's head back.
Pein's corner calls for a 1-2. Pein obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Pein lands the left hand. Bloodsport lands with a kick to the temple. Pein shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Nice defenses there by Bloodsport. No joy there for Pein, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pein feints a jab promting Bloodsport to slip. Pein then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Bloodsport slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Bloodsport on the wrong end of a nice hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pein cracks Bloodsport with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Bloodsport looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Pein finish him?
Bloodsport is rocked! Pein scores with the left hand. Bloodsport knows he should have avoided that one. Oh Bloodsport is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A punch combination from Pein misses. Pein swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Good standup being displayed there by Pein as he connects with a hook. Good shot there by Pein. Sloppy strikes from Pein. Those never looked like landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pein gets caught napping as Bloodsport dives in and scores a takedown. Pein manages to retain guard. Pein tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bloodsport slips nicely into half guard. Bloodsport looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Max Pein dominated that round. That's time! Bloodsport's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Pein jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Pein displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Pein jabbing away but nothing is landing. A jab from Pein misses. A shot to the liver by Pein. Beautiful body shot. Pein lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Pein connects with a looping right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bloodsport has a takedown stuffed. Gab Bloodsport is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pein scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pein connects with a body shot. Pein takes a swing at Bloodsport's ribcage but misses. Pein swings for the body but Bloodsport moves out of range.
Pein looks to land a left hand but Bloodsport moved out of range nicely. Pein digs a good hook to Bloodsport's body.
Bloodsport has a takedown stuffed. Pein throws a right and a left that Bloodsport avoids nicely. Pein looks to score with a jab to the body but Bloodsport is just out of range. Pein is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bloodsport. Max Pein seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bloodsport takes a shot right to the bread basket. Pein throws a right hand that Bloodsport ducks under and follows up with a left that Bloodsport also avoids with ease. Pein misses the jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pein throws a series of punches but Bloodsport moves out of range. Bloodsport shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gab Bloodsport. That's going to take a lot out of him. Left hook, right uppercut from Pein. Pein has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pein bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bloodsport's head backwards. Bloodsport takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A looping hook to the body misses from Pein. Bloodsport does a little dance to reset his feet. A decent looking cross lands there for Pein. Bloodsport shoots and misses and Pein counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Pein tests Bloodsport's chin there with a solid looking shot. Pein scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Pein lands a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bloodsport uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pein. Bloodsport looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Pein ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Pein drops Bloodsport with a beautiful combination! Bloodsport stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Pein is looking for the KO! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bloodsport looks up at the clock. Bad move! Pein lands a right hand from hell, dropping Bloodsport. Pein pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
