Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rich Savage!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage throws a head kick that misses.
Almeida shoots in for a takedown but Savage shows good takedown defense.
Savage takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Savage bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Almeida's head.
It looks like Nelson Almeida has been cut.
Savage tests Almeida's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The fighters circling - Savage throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Almeida walks straight into a right hand from Savage - that's dropped him! Savage jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Almeida from any more punishment! Almeida complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
