Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alejandro Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lynch comes into the arena with Wild Thing blaring out of the sound system. Alejandro Johnson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eric Lynch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alejandro Johnson! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lynch. Lynch shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lynch showed some decent athleticism there. Lynch looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Johnson is staying active underneath Lynch, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Lynch content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Lynch wants to take a breather but Johnson is having none of it. Johnson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lynch wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working. Johnson manages to escape and get back to his feet! Lynch looks to land a body kick but Johnson moved away. Johnson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lynch. Johnson misses the shot to the body. Lynch fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Lynch scores with a nice strike. Lynch shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Lynch looking for a guillotine from mount but Johnson is having none of it. Lynch prevents Johnson from getting the reversal. Lynch wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lynch tries to control but Johnson wriggling away. Johnson tries to hold on but Lynch postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson is trying desperately to improve position. Lynch trying to control but he's not successful this time. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Johnson tries to hold on but Lynch postures up. Lynch tries to control but Johnson wriggling away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson regains half guard. Lynch is looking for a kimura but Johnson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lynch to get the leverage. Johnson kicks off Lynch and gets to his feet. Lynch scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Johnson can't do much from the bottom here. Lynch is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lynch tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson tries to bench press Lynch off him but Lynch keeps the position. Johnson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Lynch's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Lynch is thwarting Johnson's attempts to control the position. Lynch controlling the action here.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Johnson is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Lynch pulls his head out easily. Johnson punching from the bottom.

Johnson is refusing to be controlled, as Lynch sits in half guard. Lynch is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Johnson has managed to free his arm - good work. Johnson regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's six minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Lynch controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Johnson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lynch is one step ahead there. Lynch content to stall in guard here. Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lynch can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Johnson looks gassed!
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Lynch trying to move into half guard but instead Johnson has managed to sweep! Johnson wants to stand but Lynch has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Johnson being controlled here momentarily. Lynch wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Johnson is now in half guard. Johnson wants to stand but Lynch has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lynch wants to get back to full guard. Lynch moves into full guard.
Lynch wants to sweep but no luck. Lynch looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lynch holds on and takes a little breather.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Lynch has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though. Lynch is trying to keep Johnson in close.
Lynch had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Johnson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Lynch Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Johnson's back instead. Johnson can't escape the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lynch tries to keep control of the position but Johnson is staying busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A punch combination from Johnson misses. Lynch tries for a takedown but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Lynch will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lynch goes for a takedown attempt but Johnson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

It looks like Eric Lynch has been cut. Johnson has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Lynch defend it? Johnson steps over the head and cranks it - Lynch is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Johnson!
