Franklin is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bring Da Ruckus. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, London Barger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Franklin! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barger tries a head kick but it misses.
Franklin should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Barger tries a head kick but it misses.
Barger throws a head kick but Franklin moves out of range.
Barger looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Barger throws a nice looking combination but Franklin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Barger throws a head kick but Franklin moves out of range.
Franklin swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Barger moves into the clinch. Franklin tries for a takedown. No joy.
Barger stops a takedown attempt from Franklin.
Barger escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Franklin fails with a takedown attempt from distance. London Barger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Franklin. Barger moves into the clinch successfully.
Barger breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Barger connects with a good right hand that stumbles Franklin. Franklin circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
It looks like John Franklin has been cut. Barger lands a left and a right that sends Franklin crashing to the canvas! Barger dives into mount looking to finish!
Franklin is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Barger prevents Franklin from getting the reversal. Franklin is still in real trouble! Can Barger finish him? Franklin seems to have recovered his senses. Barger tries to control but Franklin wriggling away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Franklin gets back to half guard. Franklin moves into full guard.
Franklin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Franklin seems to be working for a kimura but Barger defends the submission attempt. Franklin content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Franklin wants to take a breather but Barger is having none of it. Franklin wants to work for an arm triangle but Barger is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Barger tries to kick Franklin off but Franklin keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Franklin stalling. Franklin thows a huge punch but Barger dodges it nicely.
Franklin passes to side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Franklin throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Barger gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Franklin has hold of Barger's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Barger manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Barger is breathing heavily. Franklin sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Franklin is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Franklin extends the arm and Barger is forced to tap!
