The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pudzinka tries to bum rush Sanchez with a series of wild strikes but Sanchez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Sanchez throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Pudzinka tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sanchez is in Pudzinka's guard.

Sanchez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pudzinka's waist but Pudzinka gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sanchez off to one side.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sanchez has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pudzinka uses from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sanchez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pudzinka's guard.
