The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Villarauta as he jumps to the side.
Villarauta dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Diaz fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Villarauta lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Diaz is breathing heavily.
Diaz misses with a takedown
and Villarauta counters with a crisp one two that drops Diaz! Villarauta thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Diaz to his feet! Diaz is in big trouble!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Martin Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Villarauta cracks Diaz with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Villarauta has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Diaz to stand back up!
Diaz is rocked!
Villarauta feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Diaz crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
