Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Millar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Hammortree (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Millar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Hammortree! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hammortree swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hammortree swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Millar counters with a shoot takedown. Hammortree fights it but they end up in guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Millar scoring with some ground and pound. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Millar is looking to stand up but Hammortree won't let him. Millar scores with a decent looking elbow strike. This has been an exciting period of action! Millar keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hammortree's head. Millar in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hammortree wants to get back to his feet but Millar is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Millar is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Millar stands up over Hammortree, holding on to his feet. Millar throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Hammortree is out cold! Millar lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Dan Millar! Dan Millar decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
