The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingsley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kingsley takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Kingsley tries to clinch but Christiansen moves out of range.
Christiansen looks to throw the jab but Kingsley is out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Christiansen. Kingsley does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kingsley misses with a low kick as Christiansen jumps back.
Kingsley tries to clinch there but Christiansen circles away.
Kingsley thuds a left hand into Christiansen's body.
Christiansen misses with a straight right.
Lars Christiansen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kingsley takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Kingsley tries to close the distance and clinch but Christiansen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Kingsley counters with an outside leg kick.
Kingsley slips a straight right by Christiansen.
Kingsley throws a sloppy head kick and Christiansen moves out of range easily.
Kingsley uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Christiansen.
Kingsley tries to close the distance and clinch but Christiansen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Christiansen shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kingsley is trying to defend but Christiansen finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Christiansen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

We're going to have a standup here because Lars Christiansen wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Kingsley uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Christiansen.

Christiansen stuffs the takedown attempt from Kingsley. Kingsley gets slowly back to his feet.
Christiansen looks to land a left hand but Kingsley moved out of range nicely.
Christiansen throws a push kick but Kingsley slaps the foot to one side.
Christiansen misses with a hook. Kingsley ducked under it nicely.

Christiansen shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kingsley napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Kingsley is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Christiansen has just dragged him back down to the mat.
You can see the frustration on Kingsley's face as Christiansen controls the position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Christiansen lands a nice forearm strike.

Christiansen advances nicely into full mount.

Christiansen lands a big shot there that rocks Kingsley but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Christiansen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The referee warns Kingsley that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

BOOM! Christiansen connects with a massive shot to the dome!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lars Christiansen dominated that round.

and Christiansen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Kingsley wants to clinch up but Christiansen keeps it at a distance.

Kingsley buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kingsley displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Christiansen throws out the jab.
Kingsley lands with a nice combination. Christiansen backs away looking to recover.
Christiansen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kingsley sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Christiansen looks to score with a jab to the body but Kingsley is just out of range.
Christiansen throws a hook to the side of Kingsley's head but Kingsley sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Christiansen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Christiansen slows the pace down.
