Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Hank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hank kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is No Remorse. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ben Beast!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beast shoots in for a double leg but Hank sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Beast scores with a takedown into Hank's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Beast showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Beast is looking to stand up but Hank won't let him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beast loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Beast wants to control from the top but Hank keeps moving.
Hank on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hank tries to get out of the position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ben Beast wasn't active enough on the ground.
Beast closes the distance looking to clinch

and Hank counters with a single leg into guard. Beast didn't expect that.

Hank loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hank prevents Beast from getting back to his feet.
Beast is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Hank keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Beast's head.
Hank is looking to work some ground and pound but Beast has wrist control.

Beast is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Hank is defending well though. Beast let's go of the attempt for now.

so Hank counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hank wants to control from the top but Beast keeps moving.

Beast bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hank's guard.
Hank wants to stand and escape but Beast is having none of it.

Beast might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hank kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ben Beast.
Beast tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hank swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Hank knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Beast on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ben Beast.
Beast shoots in but no luck this time.

Beast thows a body shot but no joy.
Beast tries to score with a low kick but Hank moves his leg out of the way.
Beast looks for the body kick but Hank saw that one coming.

Beast throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hank was covering up waiting for the punch and Beast finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Beast is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Beast gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Beast shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hank defends it nicely.
Chris Hank has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Beast.

Beast shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Beast showed some decent athleticism there.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Hank is refusing to be controlled, as Beast sits in half guard.

Beast takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

I would just about give that final round to Ben Beast.
Well Beast has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
