Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Veldrane Sengir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bjork Lensner! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sengir tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lensner swivels and escapes. Sengir misses with a takedown attempt - Lensner sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Sengir misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Veldrane Sengir. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sengir shoots in but Lensner avoids the takedown attempt easily. A jab from Sengir misses. Sengir shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lensner defends it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sengir shoots in looking for a takedown. Lensner tries to sprawl out of it but Sengir keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lensner manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Lensner leaves Sengir with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Sengir closes the distance and clinches up with Lensner, looking for a takedown. Sengir pushes Lensner against the cage but Lensner circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Sengir closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sengir lands in his opponent's guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Lensner has Sengir pulled in close to control his posture. Lensner is trying to keep Sengir in close.
Sengir not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lensner can do anything to dispel that myth.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Bjork Lensner hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. A head kick misses from Sengir.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sengir closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Lensner gets underhooks to prevent Sengir's takedown attempt.
Lensner lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Sengir. Sengir blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Sengir with an attempt at a knee that misses.
A nice right hand lands inside from Lensner.
It looks like Veldrane Sengir has been cut. Nice body punch from Lensner - that landed with a thud.
Lensner landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Sengir is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lensner landing knees to the head.
Lensner lands a right hand that snaps the head of Sengir backwards. A short right hand to the side of the head by Lensner. A nice right hand lands inside from Lensner. Lensner scores with a nice hook to the head.
Sengir is rocked! Lensner lands a big right hand that drops Sengir! The killer instinct kicks in and Lensner finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Lensner!
