Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerome Le Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Towns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jerome Le Banner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Towns! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Towns lands with an overhand left.
It looks like Jerome Le Banner has been cut. Towns rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Banner moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Towns fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jack Towns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Towns fails in his attempt to clinch. Towns throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Banner counters with a left to the body. Banner showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Towns.
Towns stuffs the takedown attempt from Banner. Banner gets slowly back to his feet. Towns swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Banner counters with a nice double leg into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Banner throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Towns works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Banner throwing strikes but missing. Towns lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Banner! Towns prevents Banner from getting the reversal.
That's one minute gone in the round. Towns controlling the pace for now. Banner is looking to improve his position but Towns isn't that keen on the idea. Banner is trying to stand up. Banner tries to hold on but Towns pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Banner tries to reverse the position but Towns maintains control. Towns wants to control the pace but Banner is squirming around nicely. Towns content just to control the position here. Banner on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Banner tries to get out of the position. Towns trying to control but Banner is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Banner sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jack Towns was stalling too much, according to the referee. Towns throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Nice sprawl there from Towns as Banner shoots in. Towns throws a right hand that Banner ducks under and follows up with a left that Banner also avoids with ease. Towns clinches with his opponent.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. A short right hand to the side of the head by Towns.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Towns is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Towns doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Banner changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Towns tries to avoid it but Banner manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Towns to the ground. Towns escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jerome Le Banner. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Towns works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
