Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Wayne Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
McDonald lands with an overhand left.
Carter shoots in for a takedown but McDonald shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
McDonald stuffs the takedown.
Carter really is a fat lump.
A shot to the body from Carter misses
and McDonald connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Carter closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. McDonald quickly recovers to half guard.
Carter wants to stand up but McDonald has a hold of him and won't allow it.
McDonald tries to get to full guard but Carter has control of the leg.
McDonald keeping hold of Carter's head, controlling as best he can.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McDonald is looking to improve his position.
Carter is trying to control. McDonald wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
McDonald really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Carter takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Carter ducks under a wild hook from McDonald.
A cross from McDonald lands.
Carter misses with a body kick.
McDonald has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
McDonald stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wayne Carter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Carter.
Carter shoots for a takedown but McDonald saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
McDonald connects with a single shot there.
McDonald throws a jab when Carter was well out of range.
McDonald is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

The fighters circling - McDonald throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Carter shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and McDonald counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Carter takes a swing at McDonald's ribcage but misses.
A head kick misses from Carter.
Carter is breathing heavily.
No joy there for McDonald, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
McDonald might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
McDonald misses with a hook.
Carter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Carter takes one to the chin there.
A big left from McDonald misses.
McDonald keeps the fight on the outside.
Carter shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McDonald but McDonald pushes him off and we're back to square one.

McDonald misses with a jab, cross combination.
McDonald's jab looks to have found its range, popping Carter under the eye.
McDonald cracks Carter with a right hand to the side of the head.
Nice takedown defense from McDonald. No joy for Carter on that attempt.
McDonald feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Carters jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Carter moves in looking to clinch but McDonald pushes him off.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts McDonald, as that shot connected.
McDonald throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Carter crashing down! Carter tries to stagger back to his feet but McDonald just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Carter asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jason McDonald!
