Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ross Weiss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clubber Lang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ross Weiss! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Clubber Lang! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lang shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Weiss sprawls well. Weiss wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lang gets slowly back to his feet. Lang drives through and clinches with Weiss against the cage.
Lang breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Weiss has his takedown stuffed and Lang counters with a nice double leg into guard. Weiss has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Weiss keeping moving, preventing Lang from controlling successfully. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Weiss holds on and takes a little breather. Lang won't allow Weiss to sweep him here. Weiss controlling the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A momentary lapse in concentration from Lang enables Weiss to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lang manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weiss cracks Lang with a solid left hand. Weiss controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Weiss stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lang swivels though and keeps the full guard. Weiss not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Weiss's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Weiss accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Weiss not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Weiss will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Ross Weiss just wasn't active enough. Weiss misses with a takedown attempt - Lang sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lang shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Weiss as he jumps to the side. Lang shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Weiss but Weiss pushes him off and we're back to square one. Ross Weiss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clubber Lang. Weiss stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Weiss wants it to stay on the feet. Weiss shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Weiss showed some decent athleticism there. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Weiss controlling the pace. Lang is trying to maintain the position but Weiss is very close to passing his half guard. Lang is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lang trying to control from the bottom.
Weiss sitting and controlling from the half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Weiss seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lang for as long as he can get away with.
Ross Weiss has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Weiss shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Weiss shoots and misses and Lang counters with a shoot takedown. Weiss fights it but they end up in guard. Lang must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Weiss is adopting a defensive guard. Lang wants to control from the top but Weiss keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lang would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Lang trying to control but Weiss is working from the bottom. Weiss controls Lang momentarily but Lang frees himself. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Clubber Lang. Weiss tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lang sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Weiss somewhat. Lang drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Weiss has his foot on Lang's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lang works his way back into a safe position though. Lang pushes down on Weiss's leg and manages to get into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ross Weiss will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Lang feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lang wants to control from the top but Weiss keeps moving. Lang tries to free his leg and advance position but Weiss is retaining full guard. Lang wanted to stand there but Weiss had control of the position. Weiss has his foot on Lang's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lang works his way back into a safe position though. Weiss trying to control the position here. Lang has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Weiss to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Lang is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Weiss pulls down on the head and he's put Lang to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ross Weiss!
