With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jesus Pope!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pope is trying desperately to land a takedown but Rock is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Pope.
Pope wants to clinch up but Rock keeps it at a distance.
Pope shoots for a double leg takedown but Rock sprawls well. He's pushed Pope's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Pope is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pope dives in and grabs Rock's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rock pushes down on Pope's head and hops out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That has opened up Jesus Pope's cut even more.

Rock walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Pope drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Rock swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Pope's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
