The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shirley closes the distance and clinches.
Shirley jumps guard but Carrier turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Carrier is trying to push Shirley away but Shirley has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Carrier lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Shirley or not.

Carrier is looking to control Shirley's arms but Shirley gets an underhook and turns him. Now Carrier has his back to the cage.

Carrier tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Shirley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Carrier dives in and grabs Shirley's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shirley pushes down on Carrier's head and hops out.
Shirley keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Aaron Shirley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shirley throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Carrier looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Shirley is fending him off so far but Carrier persists. Nope, Shirley circles away and we're back to standing.

The fight stays on the outside here - Carrier looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Shirley throws a sloppy head kick and Carrier moves out of range easily.

Shirley tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

and Carrier counters with a left right combination that sends Shirley crashing to the mat - Carrier wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Shirley out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
