Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shazaam McDaniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDaniels comes into the arena with Tubthumping by Chumbawamba blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Thomas fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McDaniels avoids it really well and circles away.
Thomas fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Christopher Thomas has been cut.
McDaniels lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Thomas at a distance.
McDaniels throws a nice outside leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
McDaniels avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Thomas finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under McDaniels's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Thomas falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shazaam McDaniels!
