Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Karim Chamakh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Atlas Kivi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chamakh comes to the ring accompanied by Robyn - Indestructible. Kivi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Metallica - Ride the Lightning. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Karim Chamakh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Atlas Kivi! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Sergei Dronov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kivi lands a glancing blow to the side of Chamakh's head. Kivi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Chamakh. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kivi, right into the meat.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kivi. Kivi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Chamakh sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kivi throws a leg kick that is checked and Chamakh counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Chamakh wants to control from the top but Kivi keeps moving. Chamakh scoring with some ground and pound. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kivi is on top in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kivi wants to pass the guard but Chamakh is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kivi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kivi tries to free his leg and advance position but Chamakh is retaining full guard. Kivi preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kivi throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Chamakh keeping full guard, as Kivi tries to pass. Kivi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Kivi throws a big elbow that misses. Kivi is in close to Chamakh's body, working some short punches and elbows. Kivi preventing the sweep. Kivi wants to pass the guard but Chamakh is keeping the position. Kivi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chamakh keeping moving, preventing Kivi from controlling successfully. Chamakh working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kivi. Chamakh is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kivi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Chamakh's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Chamakh's back! The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chamakh wants to escape the position.
Kivi is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Chamakh knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Chamakh for a finish. Well, with Kivi on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Chamakh is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Kivi trying to control momentarily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Chamakh is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Atlas Kivi dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kivi will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Chamakh uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kivi.
Kivi misses with a wild body shot. A jab from Kivi misses. Kivi shoots in for a double leg but Chamakh sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kivi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Chamakh counters with a nice double leg into guard. Chamakh postures up in Kivi's guard and throws a big left but Kivi blocks it. Kivi is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Atlas Kivi has got the better of the ground game so far. Chamakh missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kivi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Chamakh postures up in Kivi's guard and throws a big left but Kivi blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kivi wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Kivi looking for a guillotine here but Chamakh defends easily.
Chamakh has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Chamakh looking to pass the guard. Chamakh connects with a couple of short punches. Chamakh missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chamakh stands up over Kivi, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Kivi wants to control but Chamakh passes easily into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Chamakh thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kivi looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Kivi trying to control but Chamakh postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kivi is looking for a sweep. Chamakh is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Chamakh with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Kivi won't allow Chamakh to pass to mount. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kivi fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Chamakh checks it well. Kivi lunges at Chamakh with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Chamakh's hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kivi misses with the combination.
Some bone on bone action there as Chamakh checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Chamakh moves out of range of the strikes. Kivi throws a leg kick but Chamakh sees it coming and checks it nicely. Kivi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kivi swings widly with a right hand
and Chamakh moves into the clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kivi misses with the head strike.
Kivi misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kivi gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Chamakh.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Karim Chamakh dominated that second round. That's time! Chamakh's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Chamakh blocks a leg kick. Kivi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Chamakh keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kivi. Kivi jabbing away but nothing is landing. A looping hook to the body misses from Kivi. Chamakh does a little dance to reset his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kivi throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Kivi closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Chamakh quickly recovers to half guard. Kivi wants to pass to mount but Chamakh is defending the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kivi is looking for a kimura but Chamakh is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kivi to get the leverage. Kivi misses with a head shot. Chamakh uses the momentum to regain guard. Kivi throws an elbow that misses. Chamakh uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kivi's guard. Nice move by Chamakh! Chamakh is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kivi working a defensive guard but Chamakh manages to pass into side control anyway.
Kivi struggling a bit here. Kivi is trying to improve his position. Kivi regains half guard, as Chamakh was trying to land strikes. Chamakh missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Kivi trying to control from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chamakh is stalling here. Kivi is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Chamakh seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kivi has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Kivi looking to control but instead Chamakh has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Kivi trying to control from half guard but Chamakh is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kivi is pressing down on Chamakh's thigh, looking to free his foot. Chamakh is holding on for now. Kivi not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Atlas Kivi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kivi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
