Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Millar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cliff Bheardine!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bheardine.

Millar has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bheardine is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Bheardine tries to pull guard but Millar won't allow it.

Millar's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Bheardine had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Millar defends it easily.
Bheardine is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Millar wants to pass the guard but Bheardine is keeping the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Cliff Bheardine showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Millar will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Millar closes the distance and clinches up with Bheardine, looking for a takedown. Millar pushes Bheardine against the cage but Bheardine circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cliff Bheardine is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Bheardine has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
