Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Uranius Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Eto O (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samuel Eto O is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Uranius Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Samuel Eto O!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Eto O fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Eto O slaps away a takedown attempt from Johnson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Johnson tries for a takedown but Eto O circles away easily
and Eto O counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Uranius Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Eto O tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Johnson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Eto O misses with a few strikes there.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Eto O misses with the head strike.
Eto O is looking to break free of the clinch but Johnson has double underhooks.
Johnson is trying to push Eto O away but Eto O has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Johnson is trying to drag Eto O to the mat but Eto O just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Eto O throws a combination. Johnson tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Eto O prevents a takedown attempt there.
Johnson has a couple of punches blocked by Eto O.
Eto O's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Eto O is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Johnson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Eto O slows down the pace here.
Eto O misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Johnson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Johnson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Eto O sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Johnson somewhat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Eto O looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Eto O rushes Johnson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Eto O is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Johnson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Eto O's elbow.

Eto O has had enough of the clinch but Johnson keeps him there for the moment.
Eto O wants to break the clinch but can't.
Eto O is trying to force a seperation but Johnson has the dominant position.
Johnson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Johnson tries to pull guard but Eto O won't allow it.
Eto O keeps control of Johnson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Eto O is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Johnson is defending well.
Johnson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Eto O just stands there and leans against the cage.
Johnson blocks a body shot from Eto O.
Johnson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Eto O is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Eto O wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Eto O has had enough of the clinch but Johnson keeps him there for the moment.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Johnson. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Eto O pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Eto O ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Left hook, right uppercut from Eto O.
Sloppy strikes from Eto O. Those never looked like landing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Eto O shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Johnson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Johnson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Eto O wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Johnson parries the strikes from Eto O easily there. Eto O is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Johnson to escape.

Eto O stands up and we're back to a striking position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Samuel Eto O dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Eto O rushes Johnson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Johnson is trying to drag Eto O to the mat but Eto O just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Eto O has Johnson pressed against the cage, preventing Johnson from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Johnson pulls Eto O into guard.
Eto O works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson wants to get back to full guard but Eto O has passed into side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Eto O wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working.

Eto O happy to just control the position for now.
Johnson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Eto O is controlling him well.
Johnson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Eto O is working for a kimura but Johnson is defending it quite comfortably.

Eto O thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Johnson's head.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Samuel Eto O was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Eto O misses with a jab, cross combination.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Eto O sprawls well. Eto O wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.
Eto O pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Johnson dives in and grabs Eto O's left leg, looking for a takedown. Eto O pushes down on Johnson's head and hops out.

Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Eto O circles away.
Johnson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Eto O lands with a good body shot.
Eto O tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Eto O throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Johnson.
Eto O tries to close the distance and clinch but Johnson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Eto O has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Eto O tries to bum rush Johnson with a series of wild strikes but Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Good leg kick by Eto O there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Johnson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Eto O scores with a one two! Johnson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Samuel Eto O showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

You can see the frustration on Johnson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Eto O decides to stand back up. Eto O steps back and let's Johnson get back to his feet.
Samuel Eto O seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Eto O tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance.
No joy there for Eto O, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Eto O tries to clinch there but Johnson circles away.
Eto O misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Eto O tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Johnson pulls guard effortlessly.

Eto O throwing strikes from guard but Johnson blocks nicely.
Eto O wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.

Johnson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Eto O doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Eto O manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Eto O gets to his feet - Johnson follows without any prompting.
Eto O leaves Johnson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Johnson keeps the fight on the outside.
Eto O shoots in but Johnson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Eto O tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Uranius Johnson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Samuel Eto O is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Eto O feints a jab promting Johnson to slip. Eto O then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Johnson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

And that's the end of the fight!
Samuel Eto O comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Eto O has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
