Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Ker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Mathison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mathison has chosen The Sickness as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wayne Ker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Mathison! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mathison fails with a takedown attempt. Mathison misses with a body kick. Ker connects with a body shot. The fight stays on the outside here - Mathison looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ker thuds his right hand into Mathison's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like David Mathison has been cut. Ker throws a right and a left that both miss. Mathison tries to clinch there but Ker circles away.
Ker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mathison tries to clinch but Ker is having none of it. Ker throws a wild combination but nothing lands. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mathison showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ker.
Ker moves into the clinch. Mathison escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ker cracks Mathison with a right hand to the side of the head. Ker throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mathison changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ker tries to avoid it but Mathison manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ker to the ground. Ker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ker missing with a left hand there. Mathison was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Ker misses with a straight right. Ker swats away the attempt to clinch by Mathison. Ker throws a nice looking combination but Mathison bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mathison. A looping hook to the body misses from Ker. Mathison does a little dance to reset his feet. Nice uppercut lands for Ker. That snapped Mathison's head back.
Ker scores with a nice right hand.
Mathison tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Mathison shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Ker stuffs the takedown attempt from Mathison. Mathison gets slowly back to his feet. Wayne Ker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Mathison. Ker misses with a double jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mathison shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ker sprawls well. Ker wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mathison gets slowly back to his feet. Ker throws a right and a left that both miss. Ker scores with a jab to the jaw. Mathison is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ker. Mathison looks winded! Mathison drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Ker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ker has taken the fight to the clinch.
Mathison is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ker to keep the fight standing. Ker tries to break free but Mathison pushes him back against the cage. Ker has had enough of the clinch but Mathison keeps him there for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ker tries to break the clinch but Mathison is controlling the position. Ker looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Ker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ker keeps the fight on the outside. Wayne Ker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ker lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Mathison backs up against the cage.
Ker works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Ker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ker misses with a few strikes there.
Ker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mathison was well out of range. Poor timing from Ker. Ker paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mathison lands a high kick!
A punch combination from Ker misses. Mathison takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mathison is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Ker clinches. Mathison tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Mathison is trying desperately to land a takedown but Ker is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Mathison. Mathison is looking to take this one to the mat. Ker is trying to break free. Ker wants to break the clinch but can't.
Mathison tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ker smiles and moves away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A punch combination from Ker misses. Mathison gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wayne Ker dominated that round. The cut man is working on David Mathison's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Ker throws a good cross that connects.
Wayne Ker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Some wild striking there from Ker.
A slow jab from Ker misses its intended target. Some wild striking there from Ker.
Wayne Ker is winning the standup battle so far. Mathison fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Mathison wants to clinch but Ker slips to the side and Mathison takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Mathison staying out of range there. Ker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mathison tries to clinch but Ker moves out of range. Mathison connects with a high kick. Ker is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. This has been an exciting period of action! Mathison slips a jab and a cross from Ker.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mathison shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Mathison is breathing heavily. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Ker keeping moving, preventing Mathison from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up. David Mathison was stalling too much, according to the referee. Mathison showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ker.
Ker connects with a looping right hand.
A punch combination from Mathison misses. Mathison tries to clinch but Ker is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mathison throws a head kick that misses. The fight moves into the clinch position. Ker wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Mathison tries to circle away but Ker has him pinned against the cage. Mathison wants to get back to striking at distance but Ker won't allow it.
Ker can't break the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ker is trying to break the clinch but Mathison has him pressed against the cage. Ker is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mathison can do to turn this around? Ker wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mathison has him pressed against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mathison jumps guard but Ker stands there with Mathison around his waist. Mathison gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ker breaks from the clinch.
Ker tries to bum rush Mathison with a series of wild strikes but Mathison uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Mathison tries to clinch but Ker moves out of range. Ker throws a nice looking combination but Mathison bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Mathison tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. The fighters circle momentarily. Ker darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. No luck with that takedown attempt from Mathison. Wayne Ker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Mathison. Mathison showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ker.
Ker tries to bum rush Mathison with a series of wild strikes but Mathison uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ker lands a lovely overhand right. Wayne Ker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. This has been an exciting period of action! Ker lands a left and a right that send Mathison crashing to the mat, dazed. Ker thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Mathison is rocked! Ker lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Mathison - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Ker!
