The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stram blocks a head kick by White.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Stram closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Stram tries to pass the half guard into mount. White knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Stram is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed White to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Stram is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Stram loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Stram slips nicely into half guard. Stram wants to work for an arm triangle but White is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
