The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Taylor misses
and Pain counters with a head kick. That will keep Taylor thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Pain avoids a punch combination nicely.
Taylor misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pain uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Taylor.
Pain scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Taylor cracks Pain with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Pain is rocked!
Taylor could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Taylor throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pain sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Taylor keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pain looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Taylor is fending him off so far but Pain persists. Nope, Taylor circles away and we're back to standing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pain connects with an inside leg kick.
Taylor misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Taylor misses with an uppercut. Pain saw that one coming.
Pain slips under a jab.
Pain forces Taylor back against the cage and clinches.
Taylor taking a breather.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pain tries to pull guard but Taylor forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Scott Taylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Pain.
Pain's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Taylor throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Taylor lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pain circles away quickly and effectively.
Taylor throws a right and a left that both miss.
Taylor jabs Pain right on the nose. Pain blinks but takes it well.
Pain is still on wobbly legs! Can Taylor finish him?
Taylor throws an overhand right that has Pain reeling! Taylor follows up with more punches and Pain is out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Scott Taylor!
