The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bedford wants to clinch.
Bedford displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ferguson.

Bedford is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ferguson stays in close to Bedford's body and controls the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bedford throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Bedford is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ferguson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bedford's guard.
Bedford is in trouble now - Ferguson has advanced to mount!
Ferguson has hold of Bedford's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bedford manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ferguson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bedford tries to hold on but Ferguson pushes him away.

That was a close round but I would say that bj Ferguson will probably get the nod.
