Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Levesque! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cru Jones! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
Levesque tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.
Jones shoots in but Levesque avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Levesque manages to avoid it. Jones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A head kick misses from Levesque. Levesque gets the takedown into side control. Levesque working the body and head with strikes. Jones stops Levesque from passing to mount. Levesque is working hard here to advance position. Jones is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Levesque off and has taken his back! Levesque preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Jones.

Levesque stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard. Levesque lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Levesque postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jones is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Levesque, into his guard. Levesque trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Jones gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Levesque wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance. Levesque fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Levesque is looking to clinch. Levesque fails in his attempt to clinch. Cru Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Levesque swings for the body but Jones moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Levesque is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Levesque missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Jones keeps control of the position for the meantime. Levesque passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jones! Jones is trying desperately to improve position. Levesque lands a nice shot to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Levesque looks to land a combination. Jones sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Jones with a poor takedown and Levesque counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Cru Jones has been cut. Jason Levesque is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones keeps the fight on the outside. Levesque tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance. Levesque takes the fight into the clinch. Jones fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Jones closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Levesque to the mat! Levesque manages to get full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Levesque is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Levesque! Jones looking to secure an arm triangle but Levesque defends it well. Jones breaks from Levesque's wrist control and lands an elbow. Jones moves to the back. Jones has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Levesque has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones fails to advance to Levesque's back. Jason Levesque overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Levesque throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Levesque looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Levesque fending off the submission attempt from Jones. Levesque manages to reverse the position and now he's in Jones's guard. Nice work there by Levesque.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Levesque is looking for a kimura but Jones is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Levesque to get the leverage. Levesque has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jones blocking the ground and pound attempt from Levesque. Jones is pressing down on Levesque's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Jones is trying to hold Levesque in close to prevent damage but Levesque has managed to pass into half guard.

A close second round but Cru Jones will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Cru Jones's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Jones with a lazy takedown attempt and Levesque counters with a head kick. That will keep Jones thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Levesque fails with an attempt to clinch.

Levesque sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Jones keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jones is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Levesque looking for a sweep. Not yet Levesque, not yet. Jones drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Levesque dives on top into guard. Jones looking to control.
