The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ushenin misses with a hook. Gardner ducked under it nicely.
Gardner shoots and misses
and Ushenin counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Gardner is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ushenin connects with a nice cross there... Gardner is looking wobbly and Ushenin recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Gardner to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Ushenin jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
