PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamal Kilgore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kilgore has chosen Champion by Chipmunk ft. Chris Brown as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kilgore with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling White to score with a decent uppercut.
Kilgore lands a nice leg kick that just misses White's sensitive parts.
White throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
White throws a chopping leg kick but Kilgore manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
White throws a quick inside leg kick.
Kilgore fails with the takedown.
Kilgore on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
White slaps away a takedown attempt from Kilgore, before circling back to the center of the mat.
White connects with a solid leg kick.
Kilgore scores with a hook to the body. White takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
White pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Jamal Kilgore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kilgore closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming White to the mat! White manages to get full guard.

Kilgore drops back, looking for a kneebar! White looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. White looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from White!

White throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

White knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kilgore on the ground.
White throws a strike aimed at the side of Kilgore's head but Kilgore avoids it well.
Kilgore is looking to work his way out of this bad position but White is controlling him well.
Kilgore is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Kilgore tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but White wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
White wants to take a breather but Kilgore manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for White.

White connects with a leg kick. Kilgore looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from White.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Kilgore shoots in but White avoids the takedown attempt easily.
White digs a good body shot into Kilgore's ribs.
White cracks the inside of Kilgore's front leg.
Kilgore just misses with a punch to the body.
No luck for Kilgore with that takedown attempt.

White throws a sloppy head kick and Kilgore moves out of range easily.
Kilgore tries to score a power double leg takedown but White sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kilgore somewhat.

White lands a head kick. Kilgore smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Kilgore takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Kilgore takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
White lands a nice shot to the body.
White scores with a leg kick.
Kilgore is breathing heavily.
Kilgore takes a jab right on the kisser.

Kilgore throws a hook but White avoids it easily.
Jason White is winning the standup battle so far.
White buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
White misses with a head kick.
White feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kilgore's calf.
Kilgore swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kilgore takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kilgore's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

White connects with a high kick.

Kilgore is rocked!
White looks for a left high kick but can't connect. White backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Kilgore's temple! It sends Kilgore violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as White celebrates and the doctors try to help Kilgore!
