Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Dee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jane Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bobby Dee has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bobby Dee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jane Doe!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Doe shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dee napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Doe tries for a kimura but Dee is defending well.
Dee is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Doe tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Dee.
Dee wants to get back to full guard.
Dee wants to control but Doe is keeping busy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Doe is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Dee wants to improve his position but Doe is controlling well.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jane Doe was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Dee dives in and grabs Doe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Doe pushes down on Dee's head and hops out.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dee shoots for a takedown but Doe saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jane Doe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Doe stuffs the takedown attempt from Dee. Dee gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Dee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dee keeps the fight on the outside.

Doe pushes Dee up against the cage in a clinch.
Doe looks winded!
Dee jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Doe walks away with a smile on his face. Dee gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Dee shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Doe napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Dee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Doe stops Dee from passing to mount.

Dee trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dee sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Dee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dee looking to control but Doe is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

We're going to have a standup here because Bobby Dee wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Dee shoots in looking for a takedown. Doe tries to sprawl out of it but Dee keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Doe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dee.
Dee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Doe's waist but Doe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dee off to one side.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bobby Dee will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Doe shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dee is trying to defend but Doe finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Dee has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Doe is working away from the top position though.
Dee is pressing down on Doe's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Doe is breathing heavily.
Doe tries to stand but Dee is controlling from the bottom.

Dee is adopting a defensive guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jane Doe hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Dee shoots in and drives through. Doe sprawls well.

Dee stands and throws Doe's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Dee is looking to take a break and control but Doe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dee just content to control the position.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Dee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Doe keeps working.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bobby Dee.
Dee fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Doe avoids it really well and circles away.
A nice leg kick lands there from Dee.

Dee wants to control from the top but Doe keeps moving.
Dee is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Doe is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bobby Dee dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Dee tries for a takedown but Doe sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dee moves out of range of the strikes.
Doe misses with a double jab.
Doe throws a head kick but Dee moves out of range.

Dee shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dee showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Doe takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Dee seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Doe is refusing to be controlled, as Dee sits in half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

We're going to have a standup here because Bobby Dee wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Bobby Dee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bobby Dee showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
