Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Esposito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Umberto Duran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Esposito's entrance music is Sukh Knight. A fine choice. Duran is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hatebreed - Live for this. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duran takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Esposito misses with a low kick as Duran jumps back.
A jab from Duran finds it's way through Esposito's defenses.

Duran moves out of range as Esposito strikes.
Esposito throws a hook but Duran blocks it.
Esposito misses with an uppercut. Duran saw that one coming.
Duran staying out of range there.
Duran moves in looking to clinch but Esposito pushes him off.
Duran misses with a straight left.

Duran closes the distance and clinches.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Duran has had enough of the clinch but Esposito keeps him there for the moment.

Duran moves in looking to clinch but Esposito pushes him off.

Esposito cracks a nice hook into Duran's ribs.
Duran tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Esposito manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Esposito counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Esposito fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Duran manages to avoid it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd cheers as Esposito lands an impressive looking overhand right. Duran doesn't seem phased though.

Esposito cracks Duran with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Duran falls to his knees and Esposito doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Esposito!
A relieved looking John Esposito thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
