Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pepe LePew!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pete Schwetty!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Schwetty.
Schwetty lands a body shot.
Schwetty throws a looping overhand right but LePew ducks down to avoid it.
Schwetty stuns LePew with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Schwetty fakes high and swings low for a body shot but LePew manages to avoid it.
Schwetty misses with an uppercut.
LePew shoots in for a double leg but Schwetty sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
LePew ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A slow jab from Schwetty misses its intended target.
Schwetty moves in looking to clinch but LePew pushes him off.
Schwetty misses with a wild body shot.
LePew keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

LePew shoots in and gets a takedown into Schwetty's guard.
LePew trying to control but Schwetty is working from the bottom.

LePew pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Schwetty is keeping the position for now.
Schwetty can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as LePew controls the pace.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Schwetty can do anything to dispel that myth.

LePew stands and throws Schwetty's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Schwetty takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

LePew has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

LePew unloads with some shots from mount but Schwetty bucks and avoids them well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

LePew looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Schwetty dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Schwetty throws a hook to the side of LePew's head but LePew sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Schwetty motions for LePew to come forward. Schwetty throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Schwetty swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Schwetty is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down LePew rather than just go for the knockout.
LePew displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Schwetty throws out the jab.

Schwetty throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck LePew on the side of the head.
Oh LePew is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
LePew keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
LePew seems to have got his legs back now.

LePew shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Schwetty napping and manages to drive through into side control!
LePew is staying tight to Schwetty's torso, preventing him from escaping.

LePew is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Schwetty is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Pepe LePew overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
LePew happy to just control the position for now.
LePew is looking to take a break and control but Schwetty is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

LePew tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no LePew has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

LePew thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
LePew postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
LePew has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Schwetty!

The referee warns Schwetty that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Pete Schwetty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Schwetty fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. LePew looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
LePew moves out of range as Schwetty strikes.
Schwetty tries to clinch up but LePew circles away and keeps his distance.
LePew uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Schwetty.
Schwetty throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Schwetty scores with a jab. LePew acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Schwetty lands with a right hand.
LePew slips a straight right by Schwetty.
Schwetty lands a jab.

Oooooh!!! Schwetty has knocked LePew down with a huge combo! Schwetty steps away and waves a wobbly LePew back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Schwetty throws a monster overhand right that drops LePew! Schwetty follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
