Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Misuto Hans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hans shoots in but no luck this time.
Hans fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Hans shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Thompson's guard.

Hans decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Hans shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Thompson as he avoids it easily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Hans holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Thompson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hans is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Thompson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hans's back instead.
