The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lashley pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Marshall turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Lashley tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Marshall manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Marshall throws a wild body kick that Lashley sees coming a mile off.

Lashley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Marshall.
Lashley tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Marshall swivels and escapes.
Lashley looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Marshall stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Marshall wants it to stay on the feet.
Malcolm Marshall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luke Lashley.

Marshall fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lashley has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Lashley shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Marshall lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Lashley moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Marshall lunges at Lashley with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lashley's hand.
Marshall keeps Lashley at a distance using the push kick.
Lashley takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Malcolm Marshall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Marshall cracks a nice hook into Lashley's ribs.

and Marshall counters with a straight right hand.
Lashley shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Lashley takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Lashley is still on wobbly legs! Can Marshall finish him?
Marshall with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Marshall lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Lashley up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Marshall from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Lashley's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
