Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yang Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Royale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lee might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Japanese National Anthem. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yang Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Royale!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Royale fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown by Royale or perhaps it was just good defense by Lee which made him look bad.
Lee takes a swing at Royale's ribcage but misses.
Royale fails with a takedown attempt.
Yang Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Royale.
Royale shoots and misses

and Lee holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Royale pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Royale keeps the fight on the outside.
Royale fails with the takedown.
Lee tries to clinch but Royale moves out of range.
Royale misses with a takedown

and Lee moves into the clinch.

Lee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Royale throws a series of punches but Lee moves out of range.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Royale paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Royale tries for a takedown but Lee circles away easily
and Lee counters with a big head kick but Royale shrugs it off.
Royale looks winded!

Royale lands the left hand.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch but Royale swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A thudding body kick lands there by Lee!
Royale misses with a takedown
and Lee counters with a good low kick that Royale was not able to check.

Lee fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Royale, pushing him back against the cage.
Royale wants to break free but Lee has control.

Lee breaks the clinch.

Lee has taken the fight to the clinch.

Lee manages to break the clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Royale enables Lee to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Royale manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lee content to stall in guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lee throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Royale works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lee postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Lee is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Lee throwing strikes but missing.
Lee throwing strikes from guard but Royale blocks nicely.

Royale working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lee.
Lee controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Yang Lee.
Royale tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lee sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Royale somewhat.

Lee has taken the fight to the clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Lee.
Royale looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Royale gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Royale wants to stand but Lee has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Lee has his feet on Royale's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Lee closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Royale's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Royale is looking to stand up but Lee isn't so interested in that idea.
Lee slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Royale keeping moving, preventing Lee from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yang Lee dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lee tries to close the distance and clinch but Royale swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lee pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Royale shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Lee moves into the clinch.
Lee tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Royale avoids it.

Lee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Royale shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lee pinned against the cage. Lee gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Royale doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lee counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Royale is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Yang Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Royale.
Royale shoots in but Lee avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Royale is breathing heavily.
Lee with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Lee goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Lee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Royale circles away quickly and effectively.
Yang Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Royale throws a sloppy head kick
and Lee counters with a good low kick that Royale was not able to check.

Lee gets a clinch.
Lee is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Lee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Royale tries for a takedown but Lee sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Lee clinches.

Lee gets control of Royale's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lee will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Royale in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Lee pushes Royale off and scrambles back to his feet.
Yang Lee is winning the standup battle so far.

Lee rushes Royale and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Lee has Royale pushed against the cage.
Royale is trying to break the clinch but Lee has him pressed against the cage.

Royale looking for a takedown.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lee manages to break the clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Royale.

Lee takes the fight into the clinch.
Royale takes an elbow to the forehead.
Lee misses with an elbow strike.
Royale wants to get back to striking at distance but Lee won't allow it.

Lee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lee stuffs the takedown attempt from Royale. Royale gets slowly back to his feet.

Lee throws a right and a left that both miss.

Lee landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Come on Lee - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Lee decides to pull guard.

Royale won't allow Lee to get back to his feet.
Royale trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lee's guard.
Royale throws an elbow that misses. Lee uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Royale's guard. Nice move by Lee!

Lee slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Royale has a closed guard, preventing Lee from standing up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lee gets to his feet. Royale looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nice takedown defense from Lee. No joy for Royale on that attempt.

Royale takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Lee tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Randy Royale seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Randy Royale has been cut.

Lee comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Royale goes for a takedown attempt but Lee pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Lee wants to clinch up but Royale keeps it at a distance.

Royale drives through with a takedown into Lee's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Royale looking to sit in guard and control but Lee gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Lee trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Lee postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

We're going to have a standup here because Yang Lee wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Royale misses with a takedown attempt - Lee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Yang Lee showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Lee has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
