Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hitmon Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Welsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Lee shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Welsh manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Welsh is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Welsh is looking to sweep but instead, Lee has passed into half guard.

Welsh is pressing down on Lee's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Lee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Welsh postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lee is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Welsh, into his guard.

Lee stands up over Welsh, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Lee is looking to control Welsh's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lee avoid being mounted?

Welsh wants to work for an arm triangle but Lee is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Welsh is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

A head kick misses from Lee.
Lee shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Welsh eats them both and turns towards Lee to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lee. Welsh does a little dance to reset his feet.

Welsh moves into range and clinches up with Lee.
Welsh is trying to pull guard but Lee has him pressed against the cage.
Welsh is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lee to keep the fight standing.
Lee lands a hook that snaps the head of Welsh backwards.
Welsh blocks an elbow strike from Lee.

Welsh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Lee throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Welsh tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lee is in Welsh's guard.

Welsh has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Lee is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Welsh.

Welsh tries to improve position but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Welsh looks to move to half guard but instead Lee has passed into mount! Damn!

Hitmon Lee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Lee cracks Welsh with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Lee tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Welsh wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Lee cracks Welsh with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Lee is nestled in close to Welsh, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
