Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Terry Gunderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lunchmeat Sandwich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Terry Gunderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lunchmeat Sandwich! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Gunderson does no damage. Sandwich fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Sandwich throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gunderson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gunderson wants it to stay on the feet. Sandwich fails with the takedown. Terry Gunderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lunchmeat Sandwich. Gunderson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gunderson misses with a few strikes there.
Gunderson fails to land with a series of punches.
Sandwich changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gunderson tries to avoid it but Sandwich manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gunderson to the ground. Gunderson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Gunderson moves out of range of the strikes. Sandwich showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gunderson.
Gunderson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Sandwich gets the takedown into side control. Sandwich is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gunderson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sandwich tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sandwich is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gunderson has escaped the position, nice work there. Sandwich tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sandwich has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sandwich is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gunderson has escaped the position, nice work there. Sandwich working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Sandwich tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Gunderson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sandwich on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sandwich goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Gunderson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sandwich but great work by Gunderson. Sandwich tries to bench press Gunderson off him but Gunderson keeps the position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sandwich is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Sandwich looks to move to half guard but instead Gunderson has passed into mount! Damn! Sandwich bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
That's five minutes gone in the round. Sandwich stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gunderson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sandwich trying to control the position from guard on top but Gunderson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sandwich passes into half guard. Sandwich is pressing down on Gunderson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Gunderson is holding on for now.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Sandwich has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Sandwich is working for a guillotine from mount but Gunderson frees his head quite easily.
Sandwich takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Sandwich is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Gunderson defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Sandwich wants to control but Gunderson is keeping busy. Sandwich is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Gunderson with him. Gunderson is trying to defend but Sandwich has an arm under the chin now! Gunderson grimaces and is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 8:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Lunchmeat Sandwich! Lunchmeat Sandwich really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Pirates Powder logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
