Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Alater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez avoids a punch combination nicely.
Martinez lands a leg kick that knocks Alater off balance momentarily.
Martinez closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Alater did well to prevent Martinez getting side control.
Martinez perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Alater changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Martinez tries to avoid it but Alater manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Martinez to the ground. Martinez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Martinez shoots in for a double leg but Alater sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Well Alater has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
