Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luke Hobbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Romo Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Romo Diaz is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luke Hobbs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Romo Diaz! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz tests Hobbs's chin there with a solid looking shot. No luck with that takedown attempt from Diaz. Diaz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hobbs pinned against the cage. Hobbs gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Diaz bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hobbs wants to clinch. Diaz gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Diaz is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Hobbs knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Diaz on the ground. Hobbs thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Diaz's head. Diaz gets back to full guard.
Diaz keeping moving, preventing Hobbs from controlling successfully. Hobbs throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Hobbs wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hobbs throwing strikes but missing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hobbs wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving. Hobbs postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Diaz avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hobbs preventing the sweep. Hobbs throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Diaz works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hobbs wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving. Hobbs loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Diaz wants to sweep but no luck. Diaz controls Hobbs momentarily but Hobbs frees himself. Hobbs trying to control but Diaz is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hobbs pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Diaz is keeping the position for now.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Diaz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Luke Hobbs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Romo Diaz. Diaz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hobbs takes one on the chin but seems OK.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hobbs throws a jab when Diaz was well out of range. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Diaz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hobbs moves away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diaz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Hobbs thows a body shot but no joy. Diaz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hobbs moves away. Diaz shoots in for a takedown but Hobbs shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Diaz throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hobbs counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Diaz pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Hobbs looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. No joy there for Diaz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hobbs as he jumps to the side. Luke Hobbs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Romo Diaz. Hobbs stuffs the takedown. Diaz keeps the fight on the outside. Hobbs misses the shot to the body. Hobbs throws a poor cross that misses
and Diaz counters with a straight right hand. Diaz moves away from the strike by Hobbs. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Diaz pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz lands a lovely overhand right. Diaz shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hobbs but Hobbs pushes him off and we're back to square one. Diaz just misses with a punch to the body.
Diaz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hobbs's waist but Hobbs gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Diaz off to one side. Diaz tries for a takedown but Hobbs sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Hobbs misses with a left hand and Diaz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Diaz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hobbs swivels and escapes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hobbs drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Hobbs stopping the sweep attempt from Diaz. Diaz is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Hobbs wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving. Diaz bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hobbs's guard. Diaz postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hobbs looking to hit a scissor sweep but Diaz is one step ahead there. Diaz postures up.
Luke Hobbs has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Hobbs misses with a series of wild punches.
Diaz misses with an uppercut. Hobbs saw that one coming. Romo Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Diaz slips under a jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Luke Hobbs will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Hobbs throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Diaz throws an overhand right that lands on Hobbs's shoulder, as Hobbs tries to avoid the shot. Romo Diaz seems to be getting the better of the standup. Hobbs throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Diaz on the side of the head.
It looks like Romo Diaz has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hobbs. Hobbs throws a poor cross that misses
and Diaz counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hobbs! Hobbs tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hobbs is not content to let Diaz control the position. Diaz taking a breather here. Hobbs taking a bit of punishment here - Diaz scoring with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hobbs managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Diaz.
Diaz has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hobbs! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Diaz throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Diaz avoids the attempt from Hobbs to control. Diaz prevents Hobbs from getting the reversal. Hobbs in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. The referee warns Hobbs that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Oooooh, big shot lands for Diaz! Hobbs is hurt baaadly! Diaz is firing away with more strikes - Hobbs is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
